Integrative holistic psychiatrist Dr. Sabet‘s Behavioral Medicine Solutions can now offer services in North Bethesda, Maryland in addition to Ohio. Decades of experience in sifting through complex neurobehavioral problems, deciphering diagnostic challenges, and offering problem-solving and straightforward solutions is our specialty. Dr. Sabet excels at combining the best of evidence based medicine with complementary noninvasive solutions integrating the best of available treatments.
He understands that seeking help is a courageous decision, and considers it a sacred responsibility to carefully evaluate the risks versus benefits of any treatment. He does not prescribe potentially addictive or scheduled medication therapies. Benzodiazepines and sleep medicines such as Ativan, Xanax, and Ambien used for panic disorder and occasional insomnia must be limited to no more than two weeks until replaced by a permanent and safer solution. Stimulants such as Adderall, Vyvanse, and Ritalin must be monitored closely and prescribed as a last resort for defined conditions such as ADHD. Beyond a certain age, or when faced with comorbid medical and psychiatric conditions, behavioral therapies must replace potentially toxic stimulants.
